Open since 1972, this iconic quick-service restaurant offers a fantastic Work & Travel experience with competitive pay, generous tips, affordable housing, and an adventure-packed summer right on the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park.

As a Kitchen Staff member, you'll be rotating through exciting roles — grilling burgers on a flat-top griddle, operating the deep fryer, preparing fresh ingredients, crafting milkshakes and ice cream cones, and keeping the kitchen spotless. No experience needed — just a great attitude and eagerness to learn!

The employer truly cares about your experience: expect BBQ cookouts at the boss's home, group trips to Billings for shopping and movies, hiking, fishing, and organised excursions into Yellowstone. Many J1 students return summer after summer!

💰 $15/hour base wage + shared tips (estimated $810/week including tips)
⏰ Two shifts available: Opening (9 AM–3 PM) or Evening (3 PM–9 PM); overtime on a volunteer basis

The dress code is casual. Please wear something that you don't care if it gets oil or stains on. I usually suggest older but clean t-shirts and jeans. Wear sturdy closed toed shoes. T-shirts cannot have questionable graphics or sayings.

Yes. Employer Guarantees employer - owned or employer - arranged housing to all hired participants. Required to stay.

Housing deposit can be paid once the participant has earned a paycheck to help avoid upfront costs. A non-refundable $50 cleaning fee is also due upon arrival to help pay for a deep clean of the apartment after everyone has returned home.

Treat your living quarters the same you would your own home. We understand that accidents happen and we don't worry about the small stuff. The deposit protects us financially should a participant break the rules and smoke inside the apartment, knocks holes in the walls, destroy the carpet, etc.
