Imagine spending your summer at Cedar Point, home to 18 world-class roller coasters, a mile-long beach, and an 18-acre waterpark — all in Sandusky, Ohio. As a Ride Operator, you'll be right at the heart of the action, ensuring guests have a safe, thrilling, and unforgettable experience every single day.

You'll earn $15 per hour, work an average of 32–40 hours per week (up to 50 hours in peak season), and enjoy a full package of perks that make this one of the best Work & Travel placements available. From May through August the park runs 7 days a week, and the season extends into weekends through October 31st — giving you maximum earning potential.

Your responsibilities will include operating ride control systems, verifying safety restraints, delivering scripted announcements over a microphone, screening guests for ride requirements, and keeping the ride area clean and safe. A cheerful attitude and strong English communication skills are a must — this is a high guest-contact role!

Our Wardrobe team will provide two uniform shirts for all positions and two pairs of shorts for most positions at no cost. Associates will be required to provide their own pants and shoes for all work locations. (Out of pocket expense of roughly $75). Uniforms vary on work location and more information will be provided during wardrobe fitting. Most positions require a closed toe athletic shoe that is mostly white, gray, or black with no bright neon colors.

Hair, including facial hair, must be neat, clean and well-groomed each day. For safety purposes, long hair is to be pulled back. One gauge no larger than ½ inch or 12mm in each ear may be in place of earrings. Tattoos/body art are permitted as long as the tattoos/body art do not display slogans or images that are demeaning, feature profanity or other messages that do not promote or enhance a safe, inclusive, productive workplace. Visible tattoos/body art on the face or neck are not permitted.
