The Lodge has been welcoming J1 students since 2014 and treats every participant like family. Your general manager, Milan, started his own career as a J1 student and is available around the clock to support you.
As a Kitchen Staff member, you'll be at the heart of a busy hospitality operation — preparing food, plating dishes, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and helping the team run smoothly during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events like weddings and reunions. Every day at breakfast you'll earn tips, with daily tip earnings typically ranging from $40 to $70. Estimated weekly earnings including tips reach around $550, with overtime paid after 40 hours.
Housing is provided in a fully equipped 6-bedroom house just one block from the Lodge — a 7-minute walk or 3-minute bike ride. Each student also receives a free bike. You'll have access to boating, fishing, movie nights, boat rides with the owner, and free community events organized twice a month connecting all students in the area.
