Groundskeeping at Rockywold Deephaven Camps – Holderness, New Hampshire
Imagine spending your summer on the shores of pristine Squam Lake in the heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region — surrounded by forests, mountains, and crystal-clear water. At Rockywold Deephaven Camps (RDC), a beloved family resort operating since 1897, you'll join the Outside Crew: a hands-on groundskeeping team that keeps this historic property looking and running beautifully all season long.
This is far from a typical groundskeeping role. You'll maintain lush lawns and woodland trails, care for eight clay tennis courts, deliver firewood to lakeside cottages, and take part in one of the last remaining lake ice harvesting operations in the United States — transporting huge blocks of natural ice using antique wheelbarrows. Every day brings something different, and your work directly shapes the guest experience at one of New England's most cherished retreats.
When the workday ends, the resort becomes your playground. Staff enjoy free access to kayaks, sailboats, paddleboards, three private lake docks, yoga classes, guided hikes, and weekly organized outings — from river floats and beach days to trips to Portland, outlet shopping, and 4th of July festivities.
