Join the team at The Reeds at Shelter Haven, a contemporary luxury boutique hotel nestled in the charming shore town of Stone Harbor, New Jersey. As a Bar Back, you'll be the engine behind the bar — keeping everything stocked, clean, and running smoothly so the bartenders can shine.

Stone Harbor is a hotspot for Work & Travel students, with hundreds of J-1 participants working and living in the nearby Wildwood area. You'll be just a short bus ride or bike ride from your accommodation, and within easy reach of some of the East Coast's most iconic destinations.

💰 Base wage of $6.25/hour + tips included — estimated $330/week total
⏱️ Up to 40 hours/week; overtime paid after 40 hours
🍋 Duties: stocking bar supplies, slicing garnishes, washing glassware, maintaining cleanliness, changing kegs
🎓 On-the-job training provided — no previous experience required!
👔 Uniform provided at no cost; dress code applies
🏖️ Steps from the beach in a vibrant resort community full of summer events
🌆 Easy day trips to Philadelphia (2 hrs), New York City (2.5 hrs), Atlantic City, and Cape May

*All workers will perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as lifting, balancing, climbing and stooping, or bending. These activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs. *Employees will be required to stand for long periods of time. *Employees will be required to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 40lbs on a repeated basis.

Strong smelling perfumes, cologne or aftershave must be avoided. Hair must be neat, clean and in a natural color and style. Long hair pulled back. No bright or glittery nail polish, or large jewelry. One earring per ear lobe. No visible body piercing or tattoos. No long hair on men. Only short, trip mustaches, beards or goatees and management has the right to tell staff to shave if found unacceptable.
